Firstly, thank you to everyone for their sponsorship of my 100-hole challenge last week. I am doing the event on 22nd June, please feel free to pop along to watch, support or just see me suffer towards the end. Your sponsorship has been as generous as your guesses of my score and number of balls used. Please forward my JustGiving page (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ben-Blackburn3) on to anyone that you think it may not have reached, or share it on social media.
There are 2 places available to join me for 9 holes - click here to enquire
Despite a draw in the first match, we have sold several white golf shirts (unless they think Germany will win) in the shop. Don't forget you have until 6:00om on 20th July to buy your home nations' shirt to qualify for the Euro 2016 promotion.
Happy birthday to Nigel Bacon. Nigel celebrated his landmark birthday in style with a Charity Golf Day and party after. What a great day it was too, well done Nigel. They raised a significant amount for the three charities: Cancer Research UK, Lauren's Silver Swimmers and Young Epilepsy (St Piers).
Any members wishing to run a Charity Day, Corporate Day, society or just a group of friends can do so at preferential rates. Come and see us at the club for more information.
Well done to David Woodget who won the Argyle Trophy with a nett 66. Justin Spencer was two back in second and Peter Russell third.
