What a good win for Dustin Johnson. I personally don't think the USGA managed the controversial incident very well. Once Westwood had confirmed that the ball hadn't moved through Dustin Johnson touching it with his club, that should have been the end of it. If you haven't seen it yet, there is a video at the bottom of this week's newsletter. Let's hope that next month's Open Championship is run better by the R&A.
Nevertheless, Dustin Johnson played so many excellent shots during the week, especially off the tee, and ultimately his consistency and additional length with his TaylorMade M1 driver ensured he stayed at the top of the leaderboard throughout the event.

I've had some good advice from George Hussey, Mike Chamberlain, Rowley Draper and Richard Moxham following their 72-hole longest day challenge which was also in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support (you can donate to their cause here). Well done, guys.
I took this advice onto my 100-hole challenge yesterday, which I did in aid of MacMillan. It's not too late to sponsor me if you want, click here to go to my JustGiving page. I will have a full write-up and photos in next week's newsletter.
