I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating Scott Cullen for becoming the 2016 champion golfer. His total of 140 gross was very impressive in the strong wind that we had on Saturday morning. Scott cleaned up by winning the nett prize too.
Equally impressive was the 46 points that Bruce Wilton achieved in the Salver on Sunday morning. A big thank you to Competition Secretary Phil Allen and Captain Dave Seely for their efforts in putting on a great event.
Following his win in the March Medal, Jake Bacon and I represented the club in the PGA Lombard National Pro-Am on Tuesday at Camberley Heath. Unfortunately, our four-under-par score was not enough to win but a respectable score on a tough golf course.
The next PGA event will be the PGA Southern Professional Championships in September. The Kings Hill Pro-Am will be held on Wednesday, 14 September. Click here for information on how to enter and corporate sponsorship opportunities.

Is it the 'Big Three' or the 'Big Four'?
Just when you thought Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were all set to divvy up golf's biggest prizes, along comes big-hitting Dustin Johnson. The US champion is now number two in the world and looks to be finally fulfilling his potential after another fine win at the weekend - and a big one too at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. For years Johnson seemed destined to be the bridesmaid, now he's one of the favourites to go back-to-back in Majors and take the Claret Jug back across the Atlantic.
Next week's Open at Royal Troon could be a classic
