What a great week it has been - The sun has shone, pupils have improved and new clubs are working!
Both Chris and Mark played in the National Assistants PQ but unfortunately were not able to qualify in what was a very impressive field. The field contained players that were at European Tour qualifying school last year which really emphasises the standard of professional golf in the PGA of England South. Mark also played at a Pro-Am on Thursday with Nigel Rudd, George Farrington (with all of his clubs) and David Frost.
As I am writing this weeks newsletter I am just about to dash off to the Wilderness to play in a Pro-Am myself - my first as Kent PGA Chairman so fingers crossed. If anyone would like to play with Chris, Mark or Myself in a Pro-Am (teams of three) pop in to the shop and we can look at the PGA schedule.
Following the PING demo day I thought I would ask one of you to report back:
'The fitting experience was great, it was interesting to have a better understanding of my equipment and how the correctly fitted clubs improved my shots. I have played two rounds so far which have been noticeably better so long may it continue' Jack Gorman - Member.
Getting your clubs custom fitted is not just for the elite. Golfers of all levels, from novice to scratch golfers, can benefit greatly from having their clubs fitted to suit their game.
If you want to see your handicap come tumbling down by shooting lower scores, click here to book a custom fitting session with us.
Surely we all want to make this game as easy as possible?
Well done to Justin Spencer who won the Argyle Trophy with a fantastic nett 66. Mark Hutchinson finished in second on count back.
Not only this, but Justin purchased a FootJoy glove (and a pair of the new FootJoy shorts - no Justin they were not part of the offer) on this day and as he beat his handicap he will receive a free FootJoy glove.
If all the golfers who purchased a FootJoy glove on the day and beat their handicap could come into the shop to collect their FREE Glove at their earliest convenience.
Apologies I made an error in last week's newsletter. The next
Captains Wine and 9 is this
Friday 23rd May. Sign up on the online tee booking system ASAP to get your place.
Sunday 1st June is the Captains Charity Day. I will be doing a beat the pro on that day so make sure you bring an extra £5 (or more if your feeling confident) with you. The day itself is a shot gun start at 10:30 with coffee/bacon rolls before and a prize giving after this event is always a popular event and a great day too.
