And an umbrella were needed on Sunday! Unfortunately the weather beat us on Sunday morning so the event has been rescheduled for the 30th April.

This weekend will see the first of the Matchplay PQ events, to enter simply put your name down on the list and pay your entry fee when signing in. The draw will be published on Monday and emailed to all competitors.


Invicta League 

Kings Hill are in the Invicta League competition again this year. The matches are listed below. If you would like to be considered for selection please enter your name and current handicap on the notice board opposite the stairs.

The format is teams of 10 players from each club. Pairs better ball matchplay. The maximum HCP is 18 and each team of 10 can only have three CAT 1 players, although preference will be given to players not playing in the A or B teams to give more players an opportunity.

• Saturday 24th June - North Foreland Home, 10.30am Breakfast, 12am Start

• Sunday 23rd July - Chestfield Home, 10.30am Breakfast, 12am Start 
• Saturday 16th September - Princes Away, 1.30pm Tee Off  
• Saturday 23rd September - North Foreland Away, 1pm Tee off 
• Sunday 1st October - Cranbrook Home, 10.30am Breakfast, 12am Start

 

Modernising Golf's Rules

Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
