We have had a lot of membership input into this weeks newsletter which is great! Please keep the information and requests coming. Whether its a success story, request for information on rules, how to play a specific shot or a funny photo/event please keep them coming!
Firstly thanks to our starter Larry Davis for sending me the photo of a trolley.
I thought this was a great time to highlight the Motocaddy range which we are stockists of and also the Lynx push trolley again in stock now. We also offer a repair and servicing for trolleys (although I think it is too late for this trolley).
You can find out more about the Motocaddy range of trolleys on our website. Simply click here and find out about the latest trolleys available.
I have had a lot of people asking about the ruling on the second hole with regards to the out of bounds and relief from the metal posts.
Special thanks to Phil Allen who has been liaising with the R&A about the ruling. The photo below highlights the fact that the front of the fence post is the out of bounds line. As the metal post is not in bounds (it is behind the front of the fence post), it is therefore not something that you can take relief from.
The next image shows that the left hand yellow ball IS out of bounds (as it is behind the out of bounds line), but the white ball and the right yellow ball are both in play. You are also not able to take relief from the fence as it is the object defining the boundary.
I hope this clears this ruling up for you. If there are any other rulings you would like me to clarify then please come and speak to me or contact me here and I will address them as soon as possible.
Well done to
Nicci Parsons on her winning the Ladies Club Championship on Saturday with a score of 172 gross in very difficult weather (it does normally rain on the ladies championship day). Well done to all the ladies that completed 36 holes.
Also well done to the B team on their home win against Gillingham and the Junior team that beat Nizels at home too to stay top of the league.
Another winner at the weekend was Scott Cullen, he won the Ashford Junior Open so well done to him!
Do you think you are the best putter at Kings Hill?
Well now is the time to prove it. We have our first Best Putter in Club competition on Saturday 23rd August sponsored by PING. Just to prove that it wasnt a fluke, on Sunday 20th July we have another competition sponsored by TaylorMade. Please put these date in your diary. Watch out for more information!
The next big events are the Summer Ball on 19th July and the Members Invitation day on 4th July.
We still have spaces on the TaylorMade and Lynx Demo days - please book here to ensure you can report a success story.
