Men's Team Update
Following a resounding 7 - 1 win against Walmer and Kingsdown at home on 29th April, the jubilant Men's team faced a strong Surrey Downs team on their own course. Each of the six matches were close, at one point in the match Kings Hill were 6 - 0 ahead. However, as a team we struggled on their putting greens and inclement weather for the last three groups gave a final score of 4.5 to 1.5 to the home team. Much credit to Louie Amos and Mick Tillcock who were the winning pair.
It proved to be a successful weekend for Amos and Tillcock as they continued their good form into the Falmouth Trophy (see results below).
Falmouth Team Trophy
The Falmouth Team Trophy was played on Saturday with the best two Stableford scores on each hole to count. The Trophy was won with 92 points by Louis Amos, John Sullivan, Mick Tillcock and Tony Williams. In second place was the team of Sam Vale, Tom Gibbons, Andy Vale, & Glenn Maule and in third was Peter Russell, Kevin Jones, Ralph Shand, & Dennis Gadd.
Junior Update
The juniors returned to their winning ways with a home win over Dartford, with many of the more established players studying for exams the young guns were deployed. Well done to James and Ben Francis, Luca Babadi, Sam Vale, Jed Chipchase and Tan Randall.
Spike Bar Opening Hours Extended
From 3rd June the Spike Bar (open at weekends) will now be open from 7:15am for all the early birds, you can get a tea or coffee before you play.
