Putting this week as we prepare for the last qualifying event sponsored by TaylorMade. 

Having recently given a beginner a putting lesson it really highlighted to me the influence of alignment of the club face at address. The lady that I was teaching was becoming frustrated at not getting the ball in the hole. We then discussed how the club influences the balls direction, she was using quite a basic putter which had very little alignment aid. It was an instant improvement once she started using a putter with alignment aids. 

I would suggest that anyone who hasn't changed their putter in the last 12 months comes into the shop to look at how many different types of alignment aids there are available. You can view the range of putters that we stock on our website, just click here and go between the brands.

Well done to Justin Spencer for finishing 11th in the EGU Gold Medal. It was a great achievement for Justin. However I must confess I thought he had won when he sent me this photo, I'm not sure our ears could cope with another Spencer win!

As the summer holidays come to an end and the weather starts to turn, the Junior Team have managed to get into the finals of the foursomes league. I hope to be the bearer of good news next week!

Our players have also cleaned up in the Opens with Scott Cullen winning many events. The events that he hasn't won Sonny Teale, Jacob Kelso, Jake Antoun and Jordan Miles have won so well done to everyone.
