This week is our 5 club challenge competition, where choosing the correct clubs is obviously vital to your ability to post a good score. From experience, this is very dependant on your ability to drive the golf ball well. If you are confident with the driver this should be the first club that you include, from here I would complete the set with a mid-iron (5-iron), short iron (9-iron) and a sand wedge.

Again I feel that it is vital to include two clubs that you use from 120yds and in. These are the scoring clubs and therefore improve your ability to get the ball closer to hole more often, also they give you options when chipping and pitching. If the driver is not your most comfortable club, then substitute this for something with more loft, a 5-wood or hybrid, this automatically improves your accuracy and your ability to position the ball in the fairway. I would then make the set-up up with a 6-iron, 9-iron and sand wedge. Enjoy the day, I look forward to seeing your scores!

So only five weeks to go until the new Robert Rock Academy at Kings Hill is launched and it is progressing nicely.
