The Ladies Club Champion for 2015 is Jo Bentham (we will find out next week if Graham can match Jo and win the Seniors' Club Championships), Joy Stevens won the Salver and Lady Captain Hillary Stephens won the Handicap Bowl. Our ladies are playing very well at the moment with Hilary Stephens and Judy Ledley-Woods qualifying for the PING Pairs Final with 44 points off 3/4 handicap! Well done! 
 



Academy pupil wins Open Championship Qualifier 

I am delighted to highlight another success story from the Golf Academy. Richard Tinworth, a Golf Professional I have been working with for a number of years, won the Open Championship Qualifier this week. In recent weeks we had been working on course management and strategy which has lead to far greater control over the ball throughout the round. I look forward to reporting on more success and hopefully from St Andrews in July! Jordan Spieth watch out! 

I cannot take the full credit for Richard's success, 10 weeks ago Richard changed his clubs to the Vega VC01 irons and raw black wedges. The higher quality of the built has also improved his control over the ball flight and produced a more consistent reaction of the ball when it lands on the putting surface, too.
